Pick up at the Sarajevo International Airport and drop off at your accommodation. After check-in, join us for the Sarajevo Grand city tour. Enjoy learning about the lively and turbulent history, cultural traditions, society and get the chance to see a part of rich architecture. We will take a walk through the Sarajevo’s old bazaar called Bascarsija. After that, experience the nine-minute gondola ride over the city of Sarajevo. Cable car connects old city with mountain Trebević. You can rest at the Sunnyland – first amusement park for children and adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Second half of today’s tour is reserved for visiting Sarajevo ZOO or Pionirska Dolina (Pioneer Valley), a favorite destination among youngsters. There are 57 animal species in the oldest ZOO in the country and Pionirska Dolina offers numerous activities and entertainment for children (electric cars, trains, merry-go-rounds…), also playgrounds with slides, seesaws, spinning wheels.
Enjoy and discover the beauty of Boracko lake, a glacial lake in Herzegovina, famous for its quality trout and crayfish. Lake is completely surrounded by trees, and seen from above, it looks like a green mountain eye. Second stop will be Jablanicko lake which is probably the most beautiful and most interesting lake in BiH. It is artificially formed lake on the Neretva river, created in 1953. Both lakes beloved place for swimming, camping and BBQ.
After breakfast, ride to city of Mostar. Short stop will be at city of Konjic unique, prehistorically inhabited, famous for 17th century 6-arch Old Bridge, looming over turquoise Neretva river. City of Jablanica will be the next short stop on the way to Mostar. View on Jablaničko lake and regions of Prenj mountain will take your breath away.
City tour will start at Mostar’s Old Bridge above stunning river Neretva, then take a walk around Mostar streets and see old part of Mostar with medieval structures and traditional Ottoman monuments and architecture. Visit to the village of Blagaj, located on the spring of river Buna and see the beautiful historical Tekke, national monument.
Discover the medieval town of Pocitelj, the oldest town in Herzegovina. Continue to Kravice waterfall and enjoy magical experience of nature, vivid green landscape and sparkling water.
It is time to discover Skakavac, beautiful, 98 meters high waterfall which flows down in many small waterfalls jumping from one point to the other, giving the effect of water dust. Enjoy green forest with rich flora and fauna and variety of trees. In this place there are to see many species of fungi and animals. Many of them are endangered species.
Visit to the medieval Necropolis graveyard with large ancient tombstones will follow. After that we will take you for the religious buildings in Sarajevo tour. Following churches are included: Sacred Heart Cathedral (the largest cathedral in the country), Ali Pasa Mosque (declared as protected national monument due to its importance as a symbol of Bosnia’s Ottoman heritage), Emperor’s Mosque (oldest in the city), Ashkenazi Synagogue (the main synagogue), Church of the Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel.
Breakfast at hotel and then drive to Travnik which was the capital town of governor, also known as the Ottoman Vizier Town. Visit to mosque of Sultan Sulejman which is specific for the colors used for its decoration; the vizier tombs known as the Ottoman Turbe and the Travnik Fortress. Visit city of Jajce watched over by a fascinating roman Fortress standing in the middle of the town. Also, you can discover the collection of 20 little huts which once were used as watermills for local farmers and most famous site of Jajce – Pliva waterfall. We can have lunch and refreshment on the site.
After rich breakfast drive to Kiseljak, famous for its natural mineral water and visit the spring (you can bring an empty bottle) and small historical town Fojnica. Here you can see Franciscan Monestry and discover very old story about „most likely, oldest written document on human rights-ahdnama”. Here the fun starts – 16 km long trip to Prokosko lake, accompanied by small creeks crossing our way. Lake is located on the mountain Vranica which is considered to be one of the most beautiful location of BiH.
Visit small village at the altitude of 1666 m.a.s.l. and have a local lunch.
Sarajevo is surrounded with a few very famous mountains; Bjelasnica, Trebevic, Igman, and Jahorina. Their popularity grown after the 1984 Olympic games as some of the best skiing spots in the world.
Our day will include visit to Mount Bjelasnica, adored by many skiers from around the world, Mount Igman and Jahorina, Veliko Polje valley, Malo Polje valley which hosted Ski Jumping competitions.
In the natural ambient of the Sarajevo mountains light traditional lunch will be served (traditional pie, salad and yogurt ). After lunch, we will take you to Spring of river Bosna, huge public park surrounded by abundant vegetation, with the river Bosna flowing through it. It is located at foothill of Mt. Igman. There you can enjoy in looking at variety of flora and fauna, waterfalls, thermal water, small arched wooden bridges in the style of ancient Bosnia, ruins of Austro-Hungarian structures and palaces.
After the tour enjoy some time in the major shopping centers of Sarajevo; Sarajevo City Center, BBI Shopping Center, Alta Shopping Center, Importanne Shopping Center and Grand Shopping Center. Here you are able to buy world famous brands and some local brands which you can not find anywhere in the world. Almost all shopping centers have facilities for the kids, playgrounds and entertainment areas.
