The “Sailing Through Authentic Dalmatia” program takes you on an unforgettable journey across some of the most captivating islands of Central Dalmatia, where the rhythm of the sea blends with the aromas of Mediterranean cuisine, and centuries‑old stories live on in every stone village, olive grove, and hidden cove.

Over eight days of sailing, you’ll explore Šolta, Brač, Hvar, Vis, and Biševo in the most intimate way possible — by sea. Meet local producers, taste authentic island specialties, join hands‑on workshops, and immerse yourself in protected marine landscapes accessible only by boat.

This is a journey for those who want to feel the true spirit of the Mediterranean, embrace island life, and experience Dalmatia as locals have for generations.

 

Itinerary

Day 1. SAILING THROUGH AUTHENTIC DALMATIA

Arrival of participants in Split, meeting the crew and boarding the sailboat, followed by a short safety briefing, introduction to basic sailing skills, and guidelines for sustainable behavior at sea. Departure towards the island of Šolta, with guests actively participating in basic sailing activities and getting acquainted with life on board.

Upon arrival, a guided walk through the authentic village of Grohote is organized, followed by a visit to a local family farm where hosts present traditional olive cultivation and the production of premium olive oil. A tasting of extra virgin olive oil, homemade products, and local wines is included, along with a presentation on sustainable island agriculture.

Dinner with a local host, prepared with seasonal ingredients, and overnight stay in a peaceful island harbor.

Day 2. ŠOLTA – BRAČ | OLIVES, STONE, AND TRADITION

Morning sail towards Brač with a swimming and snorkeling stop in a secluded bay.

Arrival in the island’s interior for a tour of the traditional village of Škrip, exploring dry‑stone wall construction and centuries‑old island architecture. Visit to a family estate producing olive oil, homemade liqueurs, and island delicacies.

After the tasting, a workshop on preparing traditional Dalmatian dishes is organized. The afternoon is free for exploring the village or enjoying a cycling tour through olive groves and vineyards.

Dinner with local wines and overnight stay in Milna.

Day 3. BRAČ – HVAR | LAVENDER, WINE, AND MEDITERRANEAN GASTRONOMY

Sailing towards Hvar with several stops for swimming and underwater exploration.

Visit to the island’s interior, where participants learn about the tradition of lavender cultivation, honey production, and indigenous wines. Tour of vineyards and a family farm with tastings of local wine varieties, honey, olive oil, and island products.

A walk through old stone villages follows, with hosts interpreting traditional island life and the development of sustainable agriculture.

Dinner at a rural estate featuring specialties prepared under the peka.

Day 4. HVAR – VIS | ISLAND OF UNTOUCHED NATURE

Sailing towards Vis with a panoramic tour of the island’s southern coastline.

Upon arrival, an educational walk through the historic center of Vis introduces participants to the island’s rich maritime and fishing heritage. Visit to a local winery presenting indigenous grape varieties and traditional winemaking methods.

In the afternoon, a guided hike through vineyards and olive groves includes interpretation of sustainable landscape management.

Dinner featuring local gastronomy and homemade products.

Day 5. VIS – BIŠEVO | PROTECTED NATURE AND MARINE CONSERVATION

Morning sail to Biševo and exploration of the island’s natural phenomena.

The day focuses on marine ecosystem preservation, the importance of protected areas, and sustainable management of natural resources. Snorkeling is organized with guided interpretation of the underwater world and education on Adriatic biodiversity.

Lunch with freshly caught fish and local ingredients, hosted by island residents.

The afternoon is free for swimming in hidden coves, followed by anchoring in a quiet harbor.

Day 6. VIS – PAKLENI ISLANDS – HVAR

Sailing towards the Pakleni Islands with multiple stops in pristine bays.

The day is dedicated to active relaxation through guided hiking or cycling, swimming, and nature exploration with minimal environmental impact.

In the afternoon, a meeting with local producers is organized, presenting island traditions, production of brandies, aromatic herbs, and homemade delicacies.

A final shared dinner is held, accompanied by traditional Dalmatian music and local cuisine.

Day 7. PAKLENI ISLANDS & SOUTHERN COAST OF HVAR | A DAY FOR REST AND THE SEA

After breakfast, a leisurely sail continues towards the Pakleni Islands and the hidden coves of Hvar’s southern coast, known for crystal‑clear waters and untouched nature.

This day is dedicated to relaxation, swimming, and enjoying the Mediterranean landscape, with several stops for snorkeling and time spent in peaceful bays accessible only by sea.

Participants have ample free time for recreation, sunbathing, underwater exploration, or simply enjoying the sailing experience and authentic island atmosphere. Throughout the day, the crew introduces guests to principles of responsible behavior at sea, marine conservation, and the importance of protecting natural coves and coastal ecosystems.

In the evening, a final shared dinner is organized, featuring local specialties, indigenous wines, and an exchange of impressions from the journey.

Day 8. HVAR – SPLIT | RETURN AND END OF PROGRAM

Morning sail back to Split with one last swim in a protected bay.

During the return, a final discussion is held on sustainable tourism, the importance of preserving natural and cultural heritage, and the role of local communities in island development.

Arrival in Split, disembarkation of participants, and conclusion of the program.
